Frequently Asked Questions…
Do we have to take
our own gear?
No you don’t. All boats carry
their own gear and some have the policy of usage on a replace if lost/damaged
basis. If you wish to take your own gear that is alright, but you will need to
check it with the skipper on or before the day to make sure that it is fully
suited to the species that you will be chasing… We can’t have you missing that
big fish!
Will food and drink
be provided on board the boats?
Every boat varies in this
department so this is something you will need to confirm with us at Corporate
Fishing Charters or with the boat before your trip. We always recommend taking
any soft drink or something similar if you wish. Generally boats will provide
tea coffee and water on board, if they are providing beverages.
How long are the
charters?
Local charters (Port Phillip
Bay/Westernport) are usually 5-6 hours in the mornings and 4 hours in the
afternoons. Generally on all of our charters there is an hourly rate so that if
you wish to charter the boat for sole use you are able to dictate how many
hours you wish to hire the boat for. If you are participating in a share
charter then the length of the charter is decided upon by the skipper and
organisers, you are more than welcome to let us know how long you wish the
charter to be.
Do charters run all
year round?
Yes they do operate all year round and they are based upon
the fishing seasons in each location. For a season guide for a particular
location, please contact Corporate Fishing Charters.
What if I want to
create my own itinerary?
You are more than welcome to do
this. One thing that Corporate Fishing Charters prides itself on is the
flexibility to adhere to your specific requirements. We can book any kind of
trip for you and will advise on each destination with first hand knowledge.
Can Corporate Fishing
Charters book my whole trip including airfares and accommodation?
Yes we can. We do this through the assistance of our network
of efficient travel agents. As a company, we have dedicated ourselves to
finding the best deals out there for your and we only deal with travel agents
who adhere to the same philosophy.
What does Corporate
Fishing Charters offer for Corporate Groups?
We offer a dedicated service to
your company to get your guests to where they want to go and show them a
fantastic time! Whether you are seeking a conference destination, a corporate
bonding trip or a staff reward we are able to assist you. The size of the group
is not an issue as we have destinations to suit any sized group.
What happens if the
weather is bad?
If this situation occurs your
trip is fully transferable or refundable. You will be contacted the evening
before departure by our operators or ourselves if the conditions aren’t
suitable. You can rebook the trip on the spot, we can hold a credit for you or
you may ask for a refund.
Can I still book a
trip if I only have a small group or just myself?
Yes you can. We run share
charters throughout the year both in Australia and the South Pacific. For some
trips we may require advance notice to gather other people to join you on your
adventure but others need anything from a couple of days to a months notice. We
also may be able to build a trip around your dates.
I already have my
holiday booked and would like to do some fishing while I am there. Can
Corporate Fishing Charters help?
We can add a fishing element to
your holiday and give you advice on the best places to fish around where you
will be staying.
I would like to take my wife and children along on a trip with me. What
does Corporate Fishing Charters offer for them?
We offer a wide range of options
for the non-fishing companions such as eco tours, pamper packages or even a
recommendation of activities to undertake while you are out fishing. We can recommend
the best resorts for family holidays and couples getaways.
