Fiji – Savusavu

Fiji’s northern region includes its second and third largest islands – Vanua Levu and Tavenui, as well as smaller outer islands. The principle islands are primarily mountainous with extensive rain forests and fertile land. Deep reefs ring both the major islands and along with some excellent fishing, the area is known as one of the best scuba diving in all of Fiji. Savusavu is a charming town surrounded by copra plantations and is famous worldwide for its diving. Situated on the shores of a large picturesque, deep water harbour, it was originally established as port for sailing ships plying the north-eastern regions of Fiji.
